Program Fees (Please read thoroughly)
Payment Structure
The Carstairs Playschool Society has implemented a new payment structure. We will no longer accept monthly payments.
The new payment structure is as follows:
Three payments throughout the year
September to November - $161.25
December to February - $161.25
March to June - $215.00
Full payment of $537.50
***NOTE: The above fees are based on two days a week programming. Students who require additional days, will have an increased amount, but the payment structure and dates remain the same.
Payments must be sent by the first of the month, via EFT to carstairsplayschool@gmail.com or cheque. All accounts MUST be paid in full by June 1st or your child could be excluded from year end celebrations or graduation.
Continuous failure to send EFT payments after three months will result in a delinquent account. Your child will not be allowed to attend programming until the account is in good standing. Email notification of this will be issued when accounts are frozen. Delinquent accounts will be sent to collections.
NSF fee is $50 for each returned cheque. After three returned cheques, written notice will be provided indicating program fees will be on CASH basis moving forward. If payment is not made by the first of the month prior, the Board of Directors may ask the family to leave the program.
Receipts will be provided on a calendar year basis upon request.
Child Care Subsidy
Families who have a household income of less than $180.000, can apply to receive Child Care Subsidy of $125.00. To apply or for more details visit https://applychildcaresubsidy.alberta.ca/
Federal-Provincial Affordability Funding
All families are eligible to receive funding from the Federal-Provincial Affordability Funding. As of January 2022, all families will receive $75 per month off of their program fees, decreasing their payment to $53.75. More about the this funding can be found at https://www.alberta.ca/federal-provincial-child-care-agreement.aspx. Families are not required to apply for this funding.
PUF Programming
Often, additional programming days are required for PUF students. Parents are required to pay additional programming fees depending on the number of days attending. Students who attend three days per week pay $193.12 per month, whereas students attending four days will pay $257.50 monthly. This amount is prior to Child Care Subsidy (if qualify) or Federal-Provincial Affordability Funding reduction.
Subsidies and funding are effective January 1, 2022 and subject to change
